THE X INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL FESTIVAL «FLOWERS OF RUSSIA»

The 10th anniversary International cultural festival «Flowers of Russia» supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation will be arranged in the capital of Republic of Serbia — Belgrade from 15 November to 1 December 2017.

There will be free admission to all activities. During the X International cultural festival «Flowers of Russia» you can visit: gala-concert of the classical music performed by Russia's young talents, marionette and children's drawing exhibitions, acting and ballet workshops.

International cultural festival “Flowers of Russia” program introduces young talents – true wealth of nation – and provides intercultural development and understanding between the countries.

Events:

30 November, 19:00
The festival started with gala-concert “Russian souvenir”. Russian and foreign classical musicwill be performed by young acclaimed pianists, bayan-players, violinists, flutists and others. All participants are award-winners and diploma-winners of All-Russian and International contests.
Venue: “Ruski dom” in Belgrade (Russian cultural and scientific center in Republic of Serbia, Kraljice Natalije 33).

 

1 December, 11:00
Andrey Shimko, a theatre and film actor, gave an acting workshop. He is a winner of Tsarskoselskaya Art Award, Russian National Theatre Award “Golden Mask” and St. Petersburg Highest Theatre Award «The Golden Soffit». And he is a teacher at St. Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy and Theatre Institute “School of Russian Drama named after Igor Gorbachev”.
Venue: Russian school at Russian Embassy in Republic of Serbia (Bulevar Crvene Armije, 28 Belgrade)

Vladimir Shklyarov, Mariinsky Theatre and Bavarian State Ballet principal dancer, gave a ballet workshop. He is known as a prize-winner of prestigious international contents and award ceremonies, recipient of the Zegna – Mariinsky New Talent Awards grant. The ballet workshop will be devoted to learning the basic principles of classical dance including basic elements of barre exercises at the ballet bar and in the middle of training room, methology for the study of ballet variations and etudes.

15 November – 1 December
“Russia through child’s view” exhibition of children’s drawings. Art experts have selected the best artworks by students of Arts schools from different regions of the Russian Federation. The drawings are accomplished in different styles, genres and techniques. The artworks are united by “thoughts” about Motherland: landscapes of home grounds, domestic still-lives, book illustrations and so on.
Venue: “Ruski dom” in Belgrade (Russian cultural and scientific center in Republic of Serbia, Kraljice Natalije 33).


“Magic world of Saint-Petersburg Marionettes” is an interactive exhibition of hand-made marionette dolls of Saint-Petersburg Demmeni Marionnette Theatre. The visitors had a opportunity to see the collection of original puppets, representing so-called “Golden rooms” and known as “grand troupe of a small theatre” in Saint-Petersburg. The visitors were involved in interaction with professional masters of puppets.
